Nigeria's number one male tennis player, Michael Moses, during his singles tie against Sylvester Emmanuel of Team Offikwu - eventual winners of the NCC Tennis League - has landed in hospital, Naija Tennis Special can report.
The brave Nigerian star showed just why he has been at the very top in the game for the past two years on Sunday, December 18, when he continued the match after spraining his thigh during the tie against Emmanuel.

Moses, who was already in a losing position, could have given up the game at the time he hurt his thigh. but he refused to give up even after the medical personnel at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Court, Onikan, where the match took place, could not totally resuscitate him.
He would eventually go on to lose the final to Emmanuel, but not before ending the game as the second-best team in the League.
The player was on the court for several minutes before being taken to the hospital, he could neither walk nor move his body as the ice on his thigh could not help the situation.
"He is at St Nicholas Hospital," his coach, Babatunde Abe, told Naija Tennis Special on return from the hospital where the player was eventually taken to.
"When will he get back on his feet?" our correspondent further asked, and the America-trained Tombim coach replied: "I don't know, until the medics certify him fit."
