Nigerian Umpires Set To Elect New Officers

Information reaching Naija Tennis Special has it that Nigeria Tennis Umpires Association will elect a new leadership for the group this weekend.

In a circular sent to members of the association and made available to our correspondent on Wednesday, December 7, it was gathered that the present officers will make way for a new set of leaders for the association during the election.

The election of new officers will take place on December 10 while the umpires from all over the federation are expected to converge in Abuja on Friday, December 9.

"This is to remind all members of the Nigeria Tennis Umpires Association that the Annual General Meeting of the association is scheduled to hold from 9th-10th Dec 2016 at the National Tennis Centre, package B ' Abuja.

"The meeting will be preceded by seminar  to update members on the knowledge of tennis officiating.

"Accommodation will be provided at the high performance centre for all officials attending the meeting.

"As we look forward to your presence at the meeting, accept the highest regards of the executive committee," the circular sent by Musa Saidu, the current chairman of the association, read.
