16-Yr-Old Bulus Set To Represent Nigeria At 2017 Commonwealth Games

Fast rising Nigerian tennis sensation, Christopher Bulus, is one of the players who will be flying Nigeria's flag high in Bahamas come July 13, 2017, at the Commonwealth Games in the junior cadre.

The 16-year-old star who played to the quarter final of the recently concluded senior Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Open at the National Stadium in Lagos, is presently among the players training under the watchful eyes of national junior tennis coach, Ubale Mohammed, in Abuja.
Bulus in action at a recent ITF tournament, he is set to stun tennis enthusiasts at the Commonwealth Games in Bahamas.
According to Coach Abel Ubiebi, Bulus's personal coach at the ACES Tennis Academy, the player has improved drastically in the past few months and it will not be long before he becomes the next big thing in Nigerian tennis.

He said: "I am very proud of Christopher and what he has done in the past few months. He is very hardworking and really committed to getting to the very top in his game.

"He is one of Nigeria's fast-growing talents in the sport and I expect him to do very well at the Commonwealth Games when they leave for Bahamas in July."

Bulus, a semi finalist in the doubles of the just concluded CBN Open was also a runner up at the last ITF junior tournament in Cote D'Ivoire and a semi finalist in the first and second legs consecutively.

He is also expected to move up from his 13th position on the national ranking after his CBN performance and his world ranking of 729 in the coming months if he keeps improving.
