The Coach Abel Ubiebi-tutored side could not ease past Egypt and South Africa, but they made sure they inflicted an unforgettable pain on their South African counterpart in their second round thriller on Thursday.
Quadri restored some hope for Nigeria with some spirited display on Thursday.
Naija Tennis Special gathered that Nigeria's Oyinlomo Quadri who had suffered a loss in the hands of South Africa's Broadfoot Gariella when the pair first met in South Africa, but the Nigerian made sure there was no repeat of such as she dumped Gariella in two straight sets of 6-2, 6-2.
This came as a relief to the Nigerian side which player - MaryLove Edwards - had suffered a 0-6, 2-6 defeat in the hands of Kruger Christine and had fought really hard before falling to 3-6, 6-3, 10-2 loss against the South Africans.
The Nigerian players led by Coach Ubiebi will now have to win their remaining matches to stand a chance of progressing to the next stage of the tournament.
"Expectedly, they were really unhappy about the loss and felt very bad in spite of the fight and hard work they put into the matches. "We are getting better, at least, we bettered yesterday's performance, eventhough not the way we wanted. I believe these girls can make us proud and that is what they are in Tunisia to do," Coach Ubiebi told Naija Tennis Special from Tunisia.
