One of the three Nigerian players who got scholarships to study at the Rivera Tennis Academy in the United States of America, has safely landed, Naija Tennis Special can authoritatively report.
According to Coach Abel Ubiebi who took the player to the United States, the other players could not make the trip because they had issues securing their visas, hence the need to go with the only player who was available.
Venus Ubiebi, Michael Ayoola and Jimoh Rasaki are the players who secured the scholarship to the Academy after a request by their coach was granted, but while Venus could make it for the training, the other two were denied visa.

"We just landed in Washington and training starts tomorrow because that's what we are here for."
Naija Tennis Special recalls that the trip was supported by the South African Airways and that the players who missed this initial trip will still get to attend the Academy as soon as they can secure their visas.
