Talented Nigerian tennis prodigy, Gabriel Inyang, has proven to Nigerians what consistency in the game is after returning to the United States to win a junior tournament he won last year.

During a training at the IMG Academy - the biggest sports academy in the world - he was drafted in to represent the United States at a junior tournament and he proved just how much his talent can make way for him.

He went ahead to justify his inclusion in the team by winning the tournament even as the only black in the championship.

And this year, he returned to the United States to defend his title and successfully did, winning the tournament back-to-back.

The father, Richard Inyang, while sharing the good news with Naija Tennis Special, explained that: "Baco is big event here in New York. Being able to win it the second consecutive time is a huge success.

"We came for training as usual and also to defend the titles won last year and he has done it again by winning the tournament.

"After beating three boys from different parts of the country, he stunned a certain Alexander from here 8/6 to win the tournament and come out tops again."

Richard also expressed his joy at the ability of his son to continue putting Nigeria on the world map for the very right reason, stating that he wishes that the son can keep up the good work.

"He also tried his best at the junior ITF/CAT tournament early this year and I believe with the kind of exposure at such level of tennis action, he can only get better for it," the senior Richard added.
