Odizor, Olagbegi Excited As Tennis Clinic Serves Off In Akure

Nigeria's tennis legends, Nduka Odizor and Rolake Olagbegi are said to be excited about the prospects of training junior talents in Nigeria towards attaining stardom, Naija Tennis Special scoops have revealed.

The respected tennis talents had arrived the country last week ahead of the tennis clinic which is hosted by Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the First Lady of Ondo state, and were reportedly raring to go.

And after 'acclimatizing' over the weekend, the former players alongside other support coaches settled down for the real business on Monday as the players were also said to be eager to learn from the masters of the game.

One of the coaches presently in Akure for the Summer Tennis Clinic, Kayode Savage, told Naija Tennis Special that the players are ready for the training and have shown promise within the few hours and days spent with them already.

The clinic was organized for player within the ages of 4 and 13 which tennis experts believe is the range for upcoming talents to be discovered and nurtured into becoming future world champions and grand slam winners.
