Nigeria's Bulus Shocks Tennis World; Breaks 28-Year-Old Jinx In America, Lands In Nationals

Nigeria's Christopher Bulus has won a tournament for his New Mexico Military Institute, the first for their region in 28 years.

Reports exclusively made available to Nigerian Tennis Live have it that the Nigerian youngster who joined the institution less than five months ago, is the number one player in the institution after passing the trials.

Bulus won his singles and doubles to give NMMI their first win in the region after 28 years, a feat ensured that they qualified for the nationals again.

Although they had always qualified for the nationals, they had not won the intercollegiate qualifier in 28 years, which the young Nigerian tennis star made possible by winning the competition over the weekend.

The former Nigerian number four player will now play in the Nationals and if he qualifies with his region, he will feature in the All America championship.
