Babalola, who already qualified for the final of the men's singles event, will now add the doubles title to his already enviable archive of tournaments from the national competitions he has played in over the years.

In the female category, Christie Agugbom and Blessing Samuel partnered to end the fairytale run of Rose Onoja Abu and Bukola Olowu, who strolled into the final courtesy of their spirited displays. They won 6-2, 6-1.

This win means the female winners have won the tournament for the second consecutive year, a feat which Abdulmumin Babalola will hope to repeat in the men's singles when he takes on Sylvester Emmanuel on Saturday afternoon.

Nigerian Tennis Live will monitor activities leading to the final of the tournament and report to our esteemed followers.
