CBN Open Semis: Unsung Oparaoji To Tackle Babalola As Sylvester Takes On Enosoregbe

The semifinal pairings of the ongoing Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Tennis Open in Abuja make up interesting fixtures lined up for today's tennis action at the tennis section of the National Stadium, Abuja.

According to the results from yesterday's matches, Uche Oparaoji, who made it to the quarterfinal of the CBN Open for the first time after beating Ikechukwu Iloputa, also thrashed Albert Bikom in the quarters to land in the semi final.

Clifford Enosoregbe will be fighting hard to make the CBN Open final and win the tournament.
But his semi final clash against defending champion, Abdulmumin Babalola, may be the end of his journey in the tournament, as the Ibadan-based Davis Cup captain seems to be on fire at the moment, crushing his opponents with reckless abandon.

In the second fixture, both Sylvester Emmanuel and Clifford Enosoregbe - another clash of former national champions - will be fighting for the elusive CBN Open title. It will be another match to watch as both players seem to be in fine form at the tournament.

With these fixtures, tennis lovers and spectators at the Package B of the National Stadium are in for some interesting tennis actions as the 40th edition of the annual tennis 'carnival' comes to a climax.
