Davis Cup: Team Nigeria Sets Up Clash Against Namibia, Set For Promotion To Group II

After losing the third round of matches at the ongoing Davis Cup tournament in Kenya, Team Nigeria has set up a mouth watering clash against Namibia, in a bid to gain promotion to the Group II of the African Zone.

The Nigerians consisting of Captain Abdulmumin Babalola, Sylvester Emmanuel, Christian Paul and Joseph Imeh have been some of the best performers at this year's tournament, winning their first match against Rwanda, 3-0, defeated Cameroon 2-1, but succumbed to a 0-3 loss against Benin Republic.

Joseph Imeh is one of the players expected to make Nigeria proud against Namibia on Saturday, 23 June.
With this result, Nigeria is second in Pool A and will now square up against Namibia for the fight towards promotion in the African zone.

Namibia did not lose a single match, winning all four matches and topping the Pool B just ahead of hosts Kenya, who will now tackle Benin Republic, the leader of Pool A in tomorrow's decider.

The Nigerians have been fired up and are ready to go all out against one of the toughest sides in the competition as the race for promotion gets stiffer.

Nigerian Tennis Live is in contact with the players and the players are ready to give their all ahead of the encounter which will be closely monitored by every passionate tennis individual in the country.
