Fed Cup: Oyinlomo Thrashes Top Tunisian Junior, Set To 'Roast' South African Star

Nigeria's Oyinlomo Quadri was at her very best in her Fed Cup match against Tunisia's Sarah Lisa Aubertin, although she was stretched to the final set in their 6-2, 5-7, 6-2 game at the ongoing Fed Cup tournament in Tunisia.

The Nigerian girl who played in the U-16 category, took the set in a rather smooth fashion but was left to rue her chances when the tough Tunisian bounced back in the second. But Quadri, who remains one of the most feared juniors in world tennis, showed her superiority in the game, coming out tops in the final set.

Quadri will fancy her chances against her South African counterparts when they square up against one another today.
Nigerian Tennis Live gathered that Omolayo Bamidele, the second Nigerian in action for the U-16 girls, could not match up Quadri's skills as she lost in two straight sets of 4-6, 2-6 to Amal Gati before partnering her Nigerian compatriot to lose 6-7, 3-6 in the doubles event.

The U-14 girls stood no chance against their Tunisian opponents as they were routed 3-0 in the first set of matches played by the Nigerian trio of Iye Onoja, Mary Udoffa and Serena Teluwo.

According to information made available to Nigerian Tennis Live, Quadri and her girls in the U-16 will have to be tougher than they were against Tunisia if they must defeat South Africa, while Teluwo, Onoja and Udoffa must be at their very best when they take up Egypt in the U-14 category in Wednesday's fixtures.

Coach Margaret Oladunjoye who took the players to Tunisia will now have to devise an unbeatable means to defeat the Nigerian opponents if they must stand any chance of qualifying from the group.
