Nigerian Tennis Live gathered that the tournament which is a newly-introduced Futures series will attract wheelchair tennis players from about five countries or more for the $3,500 competition.

"There shall be a big wheelchair tennis championship in Abuja at the end of the month, and it is about what the players need to get better on the big stage.
"Players from about five African countries will be in Nigeria for the competition and I can assure you that Nigeria is still at the pinnacle in African wheelchair tennis," Ndanusa stated.
As at the time of filing this report, the rankings of the players attending the tournament could not be ascertained yet as the details were not on the ITF website yet.
